WHO
WE ARE
The store began in 1948 by the two brothers, Walter and John Stephanchew. The two brothers and their families built the business, and were tireless in their efforts to provide good product and service. Clyde and Louise Bourrassa eventually became the owners around 1978, and helped the store continue to serve the Church.
Today, the owner is Deacon Gilles Urquhart, who acquired the store in 2000. Through the years there have been some changes here and there, but the desire to serve the Church supply needs of the community has remained the same! Come in and visit us!

THE OWNER
Born in Northern Ontario and raised in Winnipeg, Gilles Urquhart has been the owner of Stephanchew Church Goods since 2000. Ordained as a permanent deacon for the Archdiocese of St. Boniface in 2008, he served at Holy Redeemer Parish for 2 years, then for 8 years at Holy Cross Parish, he currently is ministering at St Emile Parish,
